HOW TO BROWSE WITH GLO BIS ON PC

As you will observe for those people using Glo BIS plan to browse on non blackberry device such as Android and PC, You will notice that the BIS plan is no longer working and GLO has stopped it from browsing on non blackberry device. Lucky enough for blackberry users who still want to browse with it on their pc and don’t know how to go about it, this little tutorial will explain it to you.

 If you are a blackberry phone user and want to connect with hotspot to be able to use it, you will notice that it will connect but it will not browse, it will be very slow like a crawling snail. To make it work for you and to enable it to browse fast on your PC all you need to do is to install blackberry desktop manager, after installation connect your blackberry phone to your PC using a USB Cable, open the already installed blackberry desktop manager on your PC and look at the bottom left of your blackberry desktop manager there you will find mobile network, click on it and a dialog box will open with list of different network access point name (APN). All you need to do is to add the Glo BIS setting to it

Profile name: Glo BIS

Username: flat

Password: flat

APN: blackberry.net

Click save or OK.

Click on connect and wait for it to fully connect before you start browsing

PS: Before you connect switch on data connection in your phone

Note: This network can also be shared with other using ad hoc connection on your PC which allows sharing of data network from one computer to another, and please this works only for blackberry phone users.
